LightSpeed 2 is a whole new way to see your business, and getting started is easy if you're an existing LightSpeed user. Simply note the changes listed below and follow the four simple upgrade steps. We recommend doing your upgrade after you close for the day as the upgrade can take time depending on the size of your database. Please contact Support if you have any questions prior to upgrading or require assistance.
Customers that purchased LightSpeed after November 15th, 2006 or have a current Subscription plan will have received Subscription Upgrade Keys that must be entered during the upgrade to LightSpeed 2. Subscription plan renewals can be purchased by contacting Sales or buying online.

Changes in LightSpeed 2
There are a few changes in LightSpeed 2 which you should note. There is no separate Purchasing Browser or Tracker in LightSpeed 2. All Purchasing and Tracker features are now conveniently found in the main Browser.
LightSpeed 2 requires Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). Please ensure that 10.4 is installed on all stations that will be using LightSpeed.
Upgrade Instructions
Follow these four easy steps carefully to upgrade your database to LightSpeed 2:

Log out all users and backup database. You can backup before logging out of LightSpeed by going to Tools > Utilities > Backup Database. |

Install OpenBase 10.0.8 Update on LightSpeed Server. |

Log into LightSpeed from the server computer with the LightSpeed 2.1.4 client. Enter your Subscription Keys if prompted. |

Download LightSpeed 2.1.4 client to other stations. |
