LightSpeed 3.1.1 Demo

Test drive Xsilva LightSpeed 3.1.1 for 30 days.

The LightSpeed Demo database is fully enabled for 5 users. The LightSpeed Demo is identical to the licensed version, however, the Company Setup panel, Users Setup Panel, and PDF Print Background Setup Panel for the example company 'Brooklyn Apparel' cannot be modified.

LightSpeed 3.1.1 for Licensed Users

Click on the Upgrade to LightSpeed 3.1.1 button to the left to upgrade an existing LightSpeed 3.x Server to the latest version.

Download the LightSpeed 3.1.1 client for licensed installations to install on additional workstations, and access LightSpeed Server on your local network or remotely.

Before upgrading to a new version of LightSpeed, Xsilva recommends performing a manual backup of your database. For more information on backups and how to upgrade, please visit our Training area.

Please note that the LightSpeed 3.1.1 client must be installed manually on all workstations when updating from LightSpeed 3.0.10 and below, as changes to user authentication will prevent older LightSpeed 3.0 clients from updating automatically.

LightSpeed 2.9.2 for Licensed Users

LightSpeed 2.9.2 features support for Apple's recent GSX Web Services API changes, that affect Apple Resellers.

Upgrading to LightSpeed 2.8 or higher requires a Support Subscription valid on February 1st, 2009.

LightSpeed 2.9.2 requires you to run the LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update on your server prior to upgrading if upgrading from LightSpeed 2.8 and below. See below for upgrade instructions.

LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update

The LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update will install OpenBase 11.0.3 and all of the LightSpeed server extensions for iPhone Stats, credit card processing, and more.

For customers using other applications on their LightSpeed server computer that require OpenBase, please contact those software vendors regarding compatibility with OpenBase 11 prior to installing this update.

Please note that older versions of Daylite (3.7.x or 3.8) will not operate if this upgrade is installed, as they are not compatible with OpenBase 11. Daylite 3.9 includes compatibility for OpenBase 11.

1. Perform a backup of your LightSpeed database under Tools -> Utilities -> Backup Database.
2. Ensure that all users are logged out of LightSpeed and that the LightSpeed server can access the Internet.
3. Download and install the LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update on the LightSpeed server computer.
4. Download LightSpeed 2.9 onto the LightSpeed server from the 'LightSpeed 2.9 for Licensed Users' section above, and log in to update your database.
5. Download LightSpeed 2.9 from the same section above on all workstation computers and remove any previous versions of LightSpeed.
