Test drive Xsilva LightSpeed 2.9 for 30 days. The LightSpeed Demo database is fully enabled for 5 users. The LightSpeed Demo is identical to the licensed version, however, the Company Setup panel, Users Setup Panel, and PDF Print Background Setup Panel for the example company 'iPod World' cannot be modified.

LightSpeed 2.9 for Licensed Users

LightSpeed 2.9 features major improvements to Import Tools, Count Inventory and includes general customer experience improvements.

Upgrading to LightSpeed 2.8 or higher requires a subscription valid on February 1st, 2009.

LightSpeed 2.9 requires you to run the LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update on your server prior to upgrading. See below for upgrade instructions.

LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update

The LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update will install OpenBase 11.0.3 and all of the LightSpeed server extensions for iPhone Stats, credit card processing, and more.

For customers using other applications on their LightSpeed server computer that require OpenBase, please contact those software vendors regarding compatibility with OpenBase 11 prior to installing this update.

Please note that older versions of Daylite (3.7.x or 3.8) will not operate if this upgrade is installed, as they are not compatible with OpenBase 11. Daylite 3.9 includes compatibility for OpenBase 11.

Installation Instructions:

1. Perform a backup of your LightSpeed database under Tools -> Utilities -> Backup Database.
2. Ensure that all users are logged out of LightSpeed and that the LightSpeed server can access the Internet.
3. Download and install the LightSpeed 2.9 Server Update on the LightSpeed server computer.
4. Download LightSpeed 2.9 onto the LightSpeed server from the 'LightSpeed 2.9 for Licensed Users' section above, and log in to update your database.
5. Download LightSpeed 2.9 from the same section above on all workstation computers and remove any previous versions of LightSpeed.

LightSpeed 2.6.2 for Licensed Users

LightSpeed 2.6 adds new online sales power with Web Store 1.3 support, and adds a host of new features and improvements to Xsilva's popular Mac POS (Point of Sale) system. LightSpeed improvements include expanded Product Matrix functionality for clothing retailers, Browser Exports, network-aware Auto-Updater, and improved operation in LightSpeed's core Point of Sale and Browser windows.

LightSpeed 2.6 Server Update

The LightSpeed Server Update will install OpenBase 10.0.11 and all of the LightSpeed server extensions for iPhone Stats, credit card processing, and more.

This installer should only be run on the LightSpeed server if you are upgrading from LightSpeed 2.5.2 or lower. It does not need to be installed on the client machines.

Be sure to log all users out of LightSpeed before updating your LightSpeed Server.

Support for Credit Card Processing

To process credit cards internally with Authorize.net or HPS, you must run this installer on your server and restart.

LightSpeed 1.3.9 for Licensed Users

LightSpeed 1.3.9 fixes Apply Credit bug (same fix in 2.0.2).

This LightSpeed 1.3.9 download is for use with a licensed LightSpeed database. To upgrade a licensed database running on an older version of LightSpeed, you must log out all users. Once all users have logged out, logging in with the new version will update the database.
