'Addo Novo' comes from the Latin words 'Addo' meaning to inspire and 'Novo' meaning to make new, and this unique concept store in Portland, Maine truly delivers on its name. Long before they opened their doors, people were calling Addo Novo a furniture boutique. But the truth is that owners Brian Latham and Shawneric Hackey don't consider Addo Novo a boutique. They believe the very word conjures up an air of stuffiness. Rather, they like to think of it as a concept store that offers inspired design for modern living.

"When you walk through our doors or when you visit us online, we hope you will see that we've assembled a collection of furniture and accents that complement each other. That's our concept."

Hands down, our favorite feature is the Browser. It's amazing to be able to access a wealth of vital information about our store, customers and inventory so easily. We are able to view our stock at a glance and convert items ready for reorder instantly into a PO, or we can convert an Invoice into an Order, which expedites the process of getting furniture to our customers. These features have come to define how we do business.

Would you recommend LightSpeed to other Small Businesses and why?


Certainly. It's better than any of the proprietary POS systems we've seen in our years of experience in other retail environments, and it looks more refined than anything else on the market.
Even our customers are impressed – transactions are smooth and quick, and quotes are always well-received. We've been complimented on everything from the attractive layout of our printed receipts to the fact that we can store images of clients in our customer database.
