Accounting and Reporting

LightSpeed's Reporting window makes it easy to pull data from the system, giving you an instant overview and simplifying vast amounts of information and presenting it in a clear, flexible format. LightSpeed 2's Accounting features are expansive and flexible, providing you a simplified way to track your customers account histories, payments, and aging balances owing, and to export general ledger entries and supplier invoices to MYOB or Quickbooks.


200+ Reports

The Reporting module features over 250 reports in over two dozen categories, including Sales, Payments, Inventory Valuation, Taxes, and Commissions. All reports can be filtered for specific, ground-level information, queried by date range, and exported to Excel or PDF format. Presets allow you to save your favorite reports for quick access.

End of Day Reports

The End of Day report is a detailed daily summary of the day's sales activities, including deposits, payments, and returns, broken down by sales station. Compare your actual funds for deposit with the balances recorded in LightSpeed, and any shortages or overages are clear and easy to understand. LightSpeed gives a concise, evident summary of the day.

Commission Reports

Because commissions can be paid in a variety of ways, LightSpeed 2 includes a programmable Commissions report that allows you to quickly calculate commissions based on sell price or profit margin, and easily tallies an adjustable scale for discounted products. Split commissions are also a breeze, as invoices split between two users are broken out separately in reports.

Best and Worst Performers

The Intelligence module of LightSpeed's reporting features a cluster of predefined reports geared toward illustrating your best- and worst-performing customers, quotes, invoices, and products, as well as monthly revenues laid out in chart form. This provides you with a snapshot of your business and the its trending so you can identify strengths and weaknesses early, and respond quickly. The Add to Favorites feature saves your favorite reports for quick access later.

Accounts Receivable

Keeping tabs on your customer accounts is done with the Accounts Receivable module, tracking their outstanding invoices as they age through 30-day intervals. You can print statements, apply payments to particular invoices, set opening balances when you're bringing in customers from your previous system, and filter unused credits on sales documents.

Exports to MYOB, QuickBooks

Exporting invoices, payments, and supplier invoices to your accounting software, whether it's MYOB or QuickBooks (Mac or Windows), is a simple process of posting and exporting. Exports of invoices and payments are GL summaries, while customer and invoice detail information continues to reside in LightSpeed. Supplier invoices are exported as payables for completion in MYOB or QuickBooks.

Batch Printing

Batch Printing allows you to print separate statements for all customers with outstanding balances.
